Our Stainless Steel jewellery is made from high quality stainless steel, ion plated in gold and rose gold, ion plating is delicate and needs to be treated with care. Stainless steel is extremely strong and durable and doesn't tarnish, rust corrode and will not discolour your skin, it is a hypoallergenic, making it perfect for those with skin irritations and allergies. Due to chemicals you use, rubbing and wearing against other metals or items, humidity and sweat you may find some colour fading to occur. Our rose gold and gold steel products have been coloured using ion plating (IP). It produces a more harder durable coating with higher brightness than produced through traditional plating methods. Ion plating is susceptible to change in colour tone over time, simply clean with a soft chemical free cloth and warm water to remove any grime build up. After cleaning, jewellery must be dried thoroughly with a dry cloth,  avoid contact with cleaning agents and chemicals. 

Sterling silver is always best to avoid wearing in water, in particular swimming pools and spas, chlorine can damage your jewellery in a very short time this is most importantly with our stone and crystal set jewellery. All our crystal pieces cannot be worn in water or come in contact with any chemicals such as shampoo and perfume, these specialised pieces are best for occasional wear and need to be treated with care to ensure their lustre longevity. Anything from medication, perfume or the ph balance of a persons skin can affect tarnishing to a piece of jewellery, humidity will also tarnish your jewellery piece. Sterling silver will tarnish if not taken care of.

Being a base metal it will not tarnish but to extend your jewellery items life we recommend to avoid spraying perfume, deodorant, contact with any detergents, salt water and water.
